A Scottish beer company is launching a home delivery service, and will offer to deliver a food and drinks menu to customers’ homes via a new app.

BrewDog, an iconic beer brand from Scotland, has a wide variety of beer which can be found in most pubs and off licences around the UK.

The company will roll out a new home delivery scheme in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The service will also be available in the English cities of London, Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Reading, Birmingham and Bristol.

The company will be offering to deliver their Punk IPA and Lost Lager varieties, in both draught form (fresh from the tap) and also bottles and cans.

The food menu on offer will include pub classics like burgers and chicken wings.

The new app is called ‘BrewDog Hop Drop’ and is available to download for both iphone and android. The app can be found on Apple’s ‘App Store’ and on ‘Google Play.’

James Watt, co-founder of BrewDog, said that the service has been launched in response to the Government lockdown, which has prevented people from being able to enjoy their product in pubs.

People who work for the NHS will be entitled to a whopping 50% discount on their BrewDog orders, and will even get a free bottle of ‘Punk Sanitiser’ which the company has began to produce to help out during the crisis.

James said “We know how much people miss getting fresh craft beer. While our bars will remain shut for customers, we’re delighted to be bringing an offer of beer direct to people’s homes via the BrewDog Hop Drop app.

“Our priority is to protect our customers and teams as best we can, so we will be implementing several new safety features.

“Freshly canned Punk IPA and Lost Lager will be available via the app as well as other craft beer and a selection of food menu items.”

The company have also launched a virtual online pub, called the ‘BrewDog Open Arms.’
